The second quarter of 2026

Hello Friends, Partners and Clients,

The second quarter of 2026 has been filled with exciting developments, international collaboration, and meaningful opportunities to contribute to the future of corrections, justice, technology, and mental health.

One of the most significant milestones of the year was the publication of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Handbook on the Use of Technology in Prison Settings. I had the privilege of contributing to this important international project, and I am pleased to see the work now published and available globally. The implementation of the handbook's recommendations and principles into practice continues.

My collaboration with Reimagining Criminal Justice CIC in the United Kingdom has also continued throughout the quarter, supporting discussions and initiatives related to the future of the criminal justice and corrections systems. At the same time, development work with IPS Innovative Prison Systems has progressed further as we continue exploring future developments for the HORUS offender management system.

I also joined the Integrated Justice Information Systems (IJIS) Institute and have begun contributing to the work of several of its professional committees and working groups. This provides valuable opportunities to participate in international discussions concerning justice, public safety, information sharing, and digital transformation.

Alongside my international consulting activities, I was appointed as the responsible psychotherapist of a private healthcare service provider in Finland, allowing me to continue clinical and supervisory work within the Finnish healthcare sector.

This quarter also marked the publication of my new book, Narcissists in Prison 2. The book reflects on my experiences as a forensic psychologist working within corrections, public-sector services, and civil legal contexts, and explores the complex realities of personality disorders, rehabilitation, and human behaviour.

During the quarter, I had the opportunity to participate in several international conferences and professional events:

• World Congress on Probation and Parole (WCPP), Bali, Indonesia
• Future Justice and Corrections Summit, Melbourne, Australia
• Finnish Psychiatric Association's annual conference, Helsinki, Finland
• Prison Design and Technology Conference, organised by the International Corrections and Prisons Association (ICPA) and DGAPR, Rabat, Morocco
• 15th International Counter Fraud, Cybercrime and Forensic Accounting Conference, University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom.

These events provided valuable opportunities to exchange ideas with experts from around the world and to continue building bridges between corrections, mental health, technology, rehabilitation, and public safety.

I feel privileged to have been given so many opportunities to contribute, learn, and collaborate with outstanding professionals and organisations internationally. The journey continues, and I look forward to the next steps ahead.
